There’s something about a colourful wedding that instantly lifts the mood and this pink and orange summer wedding at Llantilio House was pure joy from beginning to end.
From the moment I arrived, I knew this was going to be a special one. The sun was shining, guests were laughing on the lawn, and everywhere I turned there were vibrant pops of coral, fuchsia and tangerine. As a photographer, days like this are a dream. The beautiful light, bold colour, and a couple completely wrapped up in happiness.
A Sun-Soaked Outdoor Ceremony
Set against the rolling Monmouthshire countryside, Llantilio House provided the perfect backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. There’s something magical about outdoor ceremonies, the breeze, the birdsong, the way everyone feels just that little bit more relaxed.
Pink & Orange - The Dream Summer Palette
I have to say, pink and orange together is one of my favourite colour combinations to photograph. It’s bold, modern and unapologetically joyful. The bridesmaids wore orange dresses, carrying bouquets bursting with bold colourful flowers. The reception space continued the theme with colourful table settings, layered napkins, glowing taper candles and playful stationery. Every detail felt intentional yet effortlessly fun.
A Venue Full of Life & Laughter
Llantilio House is such a gem of a venue. It’s relaxed, full of character and surrounded by countryside views. It has this beautiful balance of elegance and warmth, making it ideal for couples who want something stylish but not overly formal.
As the drinks flowed and guests spilled out onto the terrace, the atmosphere was pure celebration. There were hugs, happy tears, spontaneous dancing, and that golden summer light photographers secretly wish for at every wedding.
Golden Hour Magic
Just before first dance, we snuck away for a few quiet portraits. The fields glowed, the sky softened, these are always my favourite moments, when the day pauses briefly and the couple can just be together.
Colourful weddings like this remind me why I love what I do. Joy, sunshine, bold florals and a venue full of laughter. It’s the perfect recipe for a truly unforgettable summer wedding.
