Cardiff Bay Urban Rooftop Engagement Session

I love an engagement shoot, but boy do I love when a couple want something alternative, something creative and are game for anything. Today I present an urban rooftop engagement session set at the top of a carpark in the centre of Cardiff Bay. This couple were game for anything, while I love heading to the beach or a woodland, I always love to shoot amongst buildings. This shoot pushed me creatively thinking entirely outside the box.

Alternative Couples Shoot

I chose this particular carpark for my urban rooftop engagement session because it’s so high up in Cardiff Bay that no-one actually uses it. We had complete free rein with no audience to watch what we were up to. My main aim for this engagement photo shoot was to get creative with the alternative space. There were so many romantic and natural moments during the session which is a complete contrast to the environment. I wanted to use the lines and texture of the car park throughout. It goes to show you can really shoot anywhere and a city vibe always makes my heart sing. From the blue walls of this car park, to the cityscape to the multi story during golden hour. There was something special about making this Cardiff bay urban rooftop, the perfect setting for an engagement session.
