I am Michelle

Polaroid • Strawberry Daiquiri • Hitchcock

Hello! I’m Michelle, the girl behind the camera. I’m a professional portrait and wedding photographer based in Cardiff.

I have always been creative, I loved art as a teenager. When it came to choosing subjects at college, I simply copied a couple of friends subject choices (haha!) That is where it all began and I haven’t looked back. I fell head over heels in love with photography, so much that I studied it at university and graduated with a First Class BA (hons) degree. I’ve been shooting non stop ever since, always learning and always creating. It isn’t just taking photographs for me, it’s how I see this wonderful world we call home.

When I take some time off, I like to spend as much time as I can with my nephews and niece, they’re growing up far too quickly, and the best thing is being an Aunt to them. As you can tell family and friends mean everything to me.

I also watch a lot of live comedy, watching my partner perform stand-up is something that fills me with equal amounts of happiness and dread (I get super worried with what stories is he telling!) I’ve also spent many days off enjoying a strawberry daiquiri, or wearing my cat pyjamas all day and binging on Goldie Hawn films or the latest Netflix show I’ve become addicted to!

My favourite camera is my Land Camera, I love shooting Polaroid.

Experience

My style of photography is fun, creative and relaxed. I love photographing people, from working with different professionals, families and where better than a wedding… and boy do I love a wedding! I enjoy meeting people, having a glimpse into their lives. Being with a couple on the happiest day of their lives, it really is something else, I absolutely love it.

I want you and your guests to feel at ease. So by the time your wedding comes around it’s like an old friend has come with a camera.

I really love what I do, I invest in each couple, I get to know them, we start off as strangers, but quickly become friends. Meeting up or Skyping a few times before the big day and emailing. Mostly having fun together, this for me is what it’s all about, making memories and having fun on your wedding day.

I get to be part of a couples best day, every single week, and I feel ridiculously lucky to be part of it.
