Coed Hills Wedding Photography

Coed Hills wedding photography on a beautiful Spring day, Yes I’m just as surprised as you are that the sun was blazing for Rachel and Stuart’s April wedding in Coed Hills, Cowbridge. It meant being covered in sun cream. But who cares, guests got to chat outside and we made full use of the grounds for Rachel and Stuart’s couple portraits.

I got recommended to the bride and groom by a mutual friend (thank you Ali). I get ridiculously nervous before every wedding (I'm sure you all know this about me by now!) but there's a little added pressure when the bride is also a photographer. As soon as I start shooting these nerves fade away and I just capture the day as it is unfolding and I’m in my element.

The whole day was fun and chilled out, which really is the vibe of the venue and my incredible couple. They just wanted to enjoy every minute with their guests, making memories on this perfect day. I can’t emphasis enough to each couple the importance of time for photographs on your wedding day. Couples want lasting photographs and of course they want to spend time with their guests. But you have to put the time into the photographs, that’s all I ask from my couples. I’m not on about hours. I love nothing more than natural shots of guests sipping drinks and playing garden games. But for formal shots you need to put the time in. For shots with bridesmaids and groomsmen you have to put the time in.

Then there’s the couples portraits, the time of day that most of my couples dread (it’s true most couples do!) But after their pre wedding session Rachel and Stuart knew what to expect. I asked them for two things during their couples portraits, their time and for both of them to really go for it. As silly as it sounds, I want a couple to push me and me to push them. I’m getting paid so make full use of me. I want to try everything and to create something different, no two weddings are the same, no two couples, so together we can collaborate on something fun and different. Something that is exactly you.

I loved everything about capturing Rachel and Stuart’s Coed Hills wedding photography. There is so much to see and do there, Coed Hills has so many fun and interesting parts to their grounds, I was in heaven. Colourful walls, beautiful trees and that view is incredible. I could easily shoot there time and time again and see something new every wedding. That’s the joy of a kick ass awesome venue, run by the most incredible and generous people, thank you Sharron for all your help.
