Throughout lockdown I’ve pretty much spent every evening watching old favourites and new movies. There’s been a few new highlights. Have you seen Pixar’s, Soul yet? Or Wonder Woman 1984? As a cinema lover, I of course would’ve loved to have seen them in a cinema setting, but hey, I’ll be the first in line when they do open. These new movies really lifted my spirits these past few months and the movie poster alone for Wonder Woman is full of rainbow wedding ideas.

The Wizard of Oz

Which now brings me onto this classic. Amongst the new releases, I’ve been watching some feel good movies. A firm favourite being The Wizard of Oz. When chatting about colourful rainbow wedding ideas on Instagram, everyone kept telling me the movies they most associated with colour was Disney’s Up (I’ve already shot an Up themed wedding at Coed Y Mwstwr Hotel and it was EPIC) and the other movie being The Wizard of Oz. I mean I couldn’t not see this as a sign.

Rainbow Wedding Ideas

I ran with this idea. I wanted this particular shoot to have nods to the movie without it being too obvious. The whole point being that the rainbow wedding ideas are still so elegant. So that although it looks like a table of colourful flowers, which is beautiful in itself, you then realise it’s a rainbow of beautiful flowers cascading from the table. Or the portraits of model Emma are shot in a crop field, the setting at the beginning and end of The Wizard of Oz. The small nods like the star headpiece which is very Glinda. And don’t get me started on the wedding cake, it’s such a ridiculously fun wedding idea, which is exactly what I wanted to show couples planning. You can have so much fun with rainbow wedding ideas or any ideas. As long as it’s everything you want, then who cares?!
