I always suggest going somewhere totally different for your pre wedding session. Somewhere that’s special to you both, and somewhere you won’t be able to get to on your wedding day. Rachel and Stuart wanted to have their pre wedding session close to home in the woodland area that they go for daily walks. And they wanted to include a very special girl who won’t be able to make their wedding day, Tess their dog. So feast your eyes on this Neath woodland engagement shoot.
Neath Woodland Engagement Shoot
I use to work in Neath for a couple of years running a boutique, so I got to know the town centre well. But I never knew such a place existed like this, it was like our own little forest. Full of colour and calmness for a lovely Sunday morning walk. It was so lovely to chat to Rachel and Stuart in person again. Like all my couples, we’re emailing back and forth. But it was great to finally see them both in person again and share the excitement of their wedding day.
I love a pre wedding session because it’s a great way to get to know each other a bit more. A way for you to see how I work and vice versa. My engagement sessions are relaxed, they’re a way for us to chat a bit more. There have been many times when bride and grooms to be have said ‘is that it?’ Meaning do they need to do anything else. I guess they’re all shocked at how chilled out they can be. Yes if you want photographs you have to work for them, you have to put the time and effort into them. But they don’t have to be stiff or boring. They can be fun and relaxed, just my style!
Where did you get engaged? I’d love to hear all about it. My engagement or pre wedding sessions can take place anywhere. Close to home or further away. Whether you got engaged on the Rialto Bridge in Venice, the place you went on your first date or in your living room. I’d love to hear all about it and go back to the place where you said yes! Contact me for more information and let’s work together on creating some cool and creative images.

Beautiful photos and blog! I had my engagement shoot in Greenwich, which is where me and my (now) husband first had a home together. It was so much fun being in the market, and the park and on the waterfront!
Thank you Ella. Your shoot sounds amazing! I think it’s so important for a couple to be comfortable for their engagement shoot. Whether it be what they’re wearing or the location being familiar to them, especially if a couple are nervous.
Stunning photos! Looks like a lovely walk with the dog and you’ve captured some sweet moments.
Thank you, I’m in love with the Sunday morning light. It’s beautiful.
Wow such a beautiful shoot and love that they included their dog. I’d struggle to choose which ones to frame!
Thank you so much Amanda. The grooms mother told me on the wedding morning that they’re already framed on their wall. I loved hearing this.
Fabulous photos, so natural and love that Tess is included in creating these special memories
Thank you so much, it’s so lovely as Tess couldn’t go to the wedding, so she’s be part of this engagement shoot instead.
