You’ve probably read the title ‘Five Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Book Me’ and thought, “What is this girl on about? She really has lost it!” If you’re new here, I’m Michelle and I’m a South Wales Wedding Photographer.

You’re constantly being sold things via social media so someone saying “don’t book me”, how does that work, right? Well I have my own style, my own way of working and work with the best couples who get it. So read on about the five reasons why you shouldn’t book me.

Five Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Book Me by a South Wales Wedding Photographer

1. You don’t want to make time for photographs.

I totally get it, you don’t want to spend your wedding day stood for hours having photographs taken. Guess what? Neither do I. Seriously. I want you to have an absolute ball, enjoying every moment.
My approach is for the photography to be relaxed. So what I do ask is that you work with me and make time for the photographs you do want. I work with all my couples on a timeline of the day and we chat about realistically how long parts will take. If you want photographs you have to go for it, you have to put the time in and you have to be present. These photos aren’t for me, they’re for you, but I’m here to tell you it can be fun, just make time. The longer you do have the more relaxed it can be.

2. Your main concern is your budget.

Weddings can be expensive, I know. Everyone has some sort of budget. But you should first research suppliers you love because of their style. Then think about your budget. It’s easier said than done, but I put my all into every wedding. I love couples who love my style and my work and that’s why they’ve booked me, couples who collaborate and push me to be the best I can be. So although I understand price is a factor when booking a wedding supplier, I really love couples that like my style and approach first and foremost. This is how you should book any wedding supplier.

3. You don’t want to let go and have fun.

Seems silly, right? But when I give prompts, it’s never to catch anyone out. It’s always for it to be fun, to catch you, your bridesmaids and groomsmen laughing. This for me is what it’s all about. Yes, I’ve been paid to capture your day, but I want to have a blast doing it. Capturing these natural moments are some of my favourite moments to document.

4. You’re booking a photographer to tick another thing off your ‘to do’ list.

I’m definitely not your girl. Seriously. I like to be creative, I have my own style and approach, I shoot in my own way. I like to chat, mix with guests and I want people to understand that photography is important but it can be fun and relaxed. Hire a photographer you really love the style of and a South Wales wedding photographer you get along with. If photographs aren’t important to you, I’m not for you, it’s that simple.

5. You don’t want someone who blends in.

I’m quiet but I like to chat to guests and get to know everyone who is celebrating with you. I don’t shout or boss guests around. This just isn’t me. I want it to be fun and chilled out, but in order for this to happen we prepare in advance. If you want a shouter, then you need to book another wedding photographer. Me, I get the job done in my own way. I have helpers from your wedding guests who help make the experience easy and care free. Your wedding photography shouldn’t be hard, you should enjoy every moment.

If you’re thinking of booking a South Wales wedding photographer whose approach is fun and relaxed then I’m your girl. I love what I do. You should love every moment of your wedding day including the wedding photographs. So if you think I’m the right photographer for you, contact me.
