I first met Annalise at a wedding fayre two years prior to her wedding date. The night before I’d just finished updating my website and decided to add a ‘bucket list’ to my then site. I shared a list of weddings I’d love to shoot.  From abroad weddings to themed weddings. A Disney themed wedding photography was at the top of the list, I absolutely love Disney’s ‘Up’. It’s as if someone out there knew. The very next day I met Annalise at a wedding fayre. It was meant to be.

Coed Y Mwstwr Wedding

Annalise and Richard’s wedding was held at Coed Y Mwstwr Hotel, my first wedding at this venue. On this Autumn Sunday in October, we got to enjoy some of the last bit of sunshine of the year. We made use of the grounds, throwing confetti on the lawns, capturing some fun bridesmaid shots on the driveway and doing couple shots around the grounds. Like I’ve mentioned in previous blogs, the venue is the backdrop for your wedding photographs. So I really want to show that in your photographs. In Annalise and Richard’s we used the tennis courts, the driveway and even the outside of the spa area.

A wedding in Wales, you do have to consider the ‘what ifs’. The main one being, what if it rains. But this hotel has such a beautiful space with interesting interiors, that I knew no matter what the weather we’d get some great shots.

Disney Themed Wedding Photography

Annalise and Richard really made use of the whole hotel with their ceremony being held in one room, and having their wedding breakfast in another. Wedding guests were mingling in the lounge area and also enjoying the sunshine outside on this October wedding. The hotel was decorated in colourful ‘Up’ themed touches. From colourful signs by Bespoke Chick to old wedding photographs of family members. And the famous Carl and Ellie postbox with handprints, which was such a lovely touch for guests to put their wedding cards in. The wedding cake by Devoli Cakes was simply exquisite. I also have to mention the incredible decoration and in particular the balloons put together by The Party House. The balloons really tied the whole theme together and of course I’m so happy with my cluster of balloons shot of Annalise and Richard!!

The whole wedding day was relaxed, colourful and fun and at the heart of it all was two people in love. I don’t think there’s anything better than that. I just feel lucky to be invited to capture it all. Thank you Annalise, Richard and all your family and friends for being truly fantastic. Even though I am working, with great people it never feels like work.

If you are planning a Disney themed wedding and are wanting a photographer to capture Disney themed wedding photography. Or perhaps you’re planning something a bit different for your wedding day, then I’d love to hear from you. Send me a message and tell me all about your plans.
