I still can’t quite believe that one of my first weddings was a book themed wedding and a twin wedding. Yes, I do love weddings that are a little bit different and this one was everything and more.

This joint twin sister wedding was a few years ago, but it has brought me so many things to be thankful for. For the other weddings I booked from it, the blogs and magazines that featured this wedding. And recently (drum roll) this book themed wedding was published in a book about books. I still have to pinch myself.

Book Themed Wedding

The wedding ceremony was set in a Richard Booth’s bookshop in Hay-on-Wye. The table decorations were a stack of books, even the cake was shaped like a stack of books. And of course the next day we headed around this book of towns, Hay-on-Wye. We used every aspect of this town as a backdrop for wedding photographs to show off this book themed wedding.

So feast your eyes on this book themed wedding, back to where it all started for me, when I really thought I could do this full time. I never set out to photograph weddings, it’s something I fell in love with. I love being part of a couples day. Of course I know it’s an important day for each couple and their family and friends, but for me, it’s not just another job, it’s everything I love in one day. Photographing people, capturing real emotions and having fun. Each wedding makes a mark on my life, and then it’s the friendships that are formed after the wedding day. I love everything that wedding photography has given me.
