Feast your eyes on this beauty, a colourful Winter wedding at Oxwich Bay. It’ll have you heading to Pinterest bursting with new ideas and asking yourself ‘does seasonal colours really matter anyway?’ I hear Winter wedding (I’m sure you think the same) and I’ll think of silver and blues, or gold, reds and greens. But nothing could prepare me for the colour palette that Natalie and Daniel had chosen for their day. They thought totally outside the box and despite the season, they still opted for a colourful Winter wedding. This is 100% how to do it, don’t think you have to have something, just plan the day you want, choose what you like and don’t be dictated by anything (season included!) This wedding will having you swooning over bright colourful florals and a reminder that any colour goes at any time of year.

South Wales Winter Wedding

The wedding morning was cold and crisp, but it soon brightened up when Rachel from The Dancing Daffodil arrived with colourful bouquets and flower crowns galore. I removed my Roger Rabbit cartoon heart eyes and thought to myself, this is not going to be like a typical Winter wedding. A bright floral colour palette, pink bridesmaid dresses and guests that were happy to stay outside for the photos, I was in my element.

Any colourful Winter wedding at Oxwich Bay wouldn’t be complete without tons of confetti, and a trip to the beach embracing the cold breeze. We then headed into the marquee to enjoy their drinks reception and wedding breakfast. It was relaxed wedding day at Oxwich Bay and everyone just wanted to have fun. Queue entertainment in the form of a Singing Waiter. An amazing way to get everyone up and dancing and the perfect way for me to capture candids of guests laughing, smiling and dancing. A true reflection of this wonderful wedding day.

For me this colourful wedding is a true advert for just doing whatever the heck you want for your wedding day. The truth is only you’ll remember when you’ve made sacrifices or changed things to suit others, they’ll forget. So remember that whatever the season, whatever colours you want, even if it doesn’t fit into the box of the season, that you just need to plan your day, because that’s exactly what it is, your wedding day.
