10 Must See Wedding Movies - Michelle Huggleston

I know sometimes, especially right now. You can lose enthusiasm for wedding planning, so I wanted to share some feel good wedding movies. Your wedding will happen and will be more perfect than you ever thought. I’m really missing capturing weddings around South Wales. I so want to be capturing fun, colourful and relaxed wedding days again.

So while planning at home and to keep you smiling I thought my 10 must see wedding movies would be the perfect blog. I’m hoping by watching some of these it’ll bring your wedding spark back and excitement for your fun wedding day. If you’ve got anymore to add to the list, I’d love for you to comment to share with others.

Feel Good Wedding Movies

  1. Father of the Bride
  2. Three Men & a Little Lady
  3. Four Wedding & a Funeral
  4. My Best Friend’s Wedding
  5. 27 Dresses
  6. Sex & the City
  7. The Wedding Singer
  8. Wedding Crashers
  9. The Hangover
  10. Bridesmaids

There are so many movies I could’ve included, but I mean these are absolute classics. The whole story of ‘Father of the Bride’ makes me smile so much, it’s such an interesting spin on a wedding day. I love the heart of it and it shows that a wedding is about two families coming together. I included ’27 Dresses’ and ‘Sex & the City’ just for the dresses alone, right?! I could watch the scene of the photo shoot of Carrie wearing all styles of wedding dresses all day!

I love Adam Sandler in “The Wedding Singer” and love this beauty of a song from the end it; “I wanna make you smile whenever you’re sad. Carry you around when your arthritis is bad. All I wanna do is grow old with you.” Such beautiful and hilarious lyrics about what marriage is.

Finishing my 10 must see wedding movies with these two absolute laugh a minute movies, ‘The Hangover’ and ‘Bridesmaids’. Feel good comedies and a reminder of how your friends are such a big part of the lead up to your wedding and the day itself.

So Many More

There are so many more I wanted to include “The Wedding Planner”, “Monster In-law” the list could go on. And not to forget alternative movies, like “Kill Bill Vol. 2.” I wanted to keep this list full of feel good movies. If you’re anything like me and my boyfriend we’ve been watching a lot during lockdown. So get some popcorn and sweets in, snuggle down and enjoy some of my 10 wedding movies. I hope they make you smile and bring back excitement for your own wedding day.

As well as watching movies at home, as a Cardiff photographer, lately I’ve also been shooting some fun movie inspired mini styled shoots at home. Perfect to give you some ideas as to how to add some small movie details into your day. If you’re planning some movie details for your day, I’d love to hear about them. And if you have any of your own favourite feel good wedding movies, please comment below so I can share them with other bride to be’s!
