I've known Rachel and Andrew for years, back when we were all students working the same part time job. I was ridiculously excited when they asked me to photograph their wedding, I of course said yes, it meant so much to me that they trusted me to capture their wedding day.
We started the morning with bridal preparations, something I always love. All the girls together at Rachel's Mum's house, getting ready for the day ahead, laughing and joking with the odd glass of bucks fizz!
The ceremony and reception was held at Oldwalls, a beautiful venue in the Gower. The whole day was relaxed and fun (right up my street!). What I love most about Rachel and Andrew is that they're absurdly silly, tongues poking out and creating comical poses inbetween shots which made it more relaxed and fun and I got to capture what they're really like as a couple. I particularly loved the faces pulled during the Oldwalls tradition shot drinking and I just loved their wedding cake by Cakes by Katy (incredible!)
The whole day was centred around family, friends and also remembering those that are no longer here (the speeches were beautiful and very emotional). The bride and groom then opened up the dance floor with their first dance and then treated their guests to an incredible fireworks display. A perfect, fun, February wedding. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Miles.
